About DJ Steve Wozniak

For more than 20 years, I have entertained at thousands of successful celebrations. These events, held in ten states, include wedding receptions, corporate dinner dances/picnics, private events, school dances/ proms/graduations/walkathons/reunions, bar and bat mitzvah celebrations, fundraisers, bridal/fashion shows, computerized robot competitions, and more. Whew!

Beginnings

I began my entertainment career as the leader and keyboard player in a popular music band. Since becoming a professional mobile disc jockey, I was honored to be voted the winner of a national mobile disc jockey competition to entertain at the wedding ceremony and reception of two DJs at an international disc jockey conference attended by 500 DJs in Las Vegas. I was one of six inaugural inductees in Mobile Beat Magazine's “DJ Dream Team”, been featured in DJ Times Magazine several times including “Mobile DJ of the Month.”, and received a "DJ Industry Pioneer Award" presented by the Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers recognizing me as an early innovator using only a computer software program to play songs at wedding receptions and school dances. I've also won a newspaper poll as the “Bay Area's Favorite DJ” in a Bay Area newspaper, and was selected five consecutive years as the “Favorite DJ” by a local Bay Area wedding photographer's association.

Seminar Speaker

I was privileged to be selected as a featured speaker at dozens of seminars and national conferences for mobile disc jockeys, wedding coordinators, event coordinators, professional caterers, and wedding photographers held throughout the United States and Canada. I was also complimented to be voted onto the board of directors by local chapters of five national trade associations, and was the original founder and president of the Bay Area chapter of the national American Disc Jockey Association.

Publishing

I have written four cover stories for Mobile Beat Magazine, including their first stories about using a laptop to play music at an event, and about big screen video music presentations. I have also had articles published in Brides Magazine, Modern Bride, Music and Computers, and various newsletters published by national wedding coordinator, event coordinator, caterer, and wedding photographer associations.

But most of all, I feel fortunate to be able to entertain at a variety of events and help make people happy!
